There are two seperate main parts to a generator, the Engine

and the Alternator.

A generator may fail with a fault on either of these, with so

many variants coming into the country its hard to find spares

sometimes parts are interchangable from different makers so

a working knowledge of all generators is neccessary to be able

to fix them.

A lot of engine companies are making their own generators and

these parts are easily accessable from the main dealers.
